I don't know about not so perfect, but it does have an almost unreal quality to it
I look at in one way and it could be enormous
Perhaps made out of starched linen
I think cultivated roses are strange flowers
In some ways they are so overblown
a bit like up market cabbages
Imagine this green and a bit crinkly
Then I look again and see a soft and delicate thing
I can hold it in my hand and
detect its heady perfume
