@john4jack: It is a kite. The woman flying it told me that she bought it off a street vendor in Beijing. It's made of pure silk.

Great shot Suzanne, I didn't know Navy tests their secrete aircraft by the Peace Bell ;)
I like this area a lot. I am a landscape architect and we have a client near by. I discovered this place by accident, and I was so surprise to see a 'Chinese' style roof similar to your shot right here. Later I found out it is actually Korean writings on the plaque, but glad to see an unique architecture down by the beaches.

Great composition and the angle of the shot is very interesting. It is too bad you cannot see the line leading to the handsome and colorful kite, it would add just the perfect touch (as is, it almost seems as "pasted" there). I am so surprised that this Asian-like structure is found at the Port of Los Angeles.
