Breakfast at the Lumberjack CafePosted by Suzanne (Huntington Bch, California, United States) on 24 February 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. A very fine photographer asked me, "What did it feel like the first time you manipulated an image?", and I said "Do you mean the first time I shot black and white instead of color, do you mean the first time I burned the corner of a print down, do you mean the first time I 'spotted' a dust speck on my print, do you mean the first time I shot with a wide angle instead of a normal lens, I mean what are you referring to? Where does it stop?" -- Dan Burkholder - From a Lenswork Digital Output workshop, 10/97. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lumberjack Cafe, Big Bear City, California If you like my photos, please take a moment to leave a rating on VFXY. Rags from Plano, United StatesI love this shot as well as the Dan Burkholder quote. This image makes us look as though we too are looking outside the window. 24 Feb 2009 5:02am Toni from Eastern Washington, United StatesI agree with Rags and if he/she hadn't have said it first, it is exactly what I would have said and now it would look like I was copying if I said it. I'm in a quandry...Love the quote and I feel like I'm sitting at the table with you looking out the window, too. Okay, so I worded it slightly differently - I hope that counts. =) 24 Feb 2009 5:15am Jean-François from Les Issambres, Francecette image est fabuleuse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quelle belle atmosphère !
